According to an Astudo Holdings executive president Anthony McDonald and his Thai wife Kaewjai Phaoenchoke McDonald are focusing on the hotel and resort businesses expanding from their existing luxury-car business: EuropeThai Car Rent. Kaewjai is a daughter of Vichien and Pranee Phaoenchoke who founded Thai Rung Union Car which has been doing business in the automotive industry for forty years.

Huong Giang Hotel Sees Bookings Increase with GenaRes

CM) HCMC 27 August 2007 Huong Giang Hotel a 4* hotel located in the historic Vietnamese city of Hue has seen a significant increase in bookings since signing up with GenaRes Vietnam’s number one hotel GDS solution provider. The hotel located on the city’s tranquil Perfume River first implemented the solution in March 2006 as they needed to manage their room sales more effectively. Mr Ngoc Thai Duong the hotel’s Sales Manager told us: “We chose GenaRes because their partner TRG International is based in Vietnam and so they can offer quick local support. It was also the most cost-effective value-for-money online booking system we could find. In the 18 months since they began using the system the hotel has seen a large increase in bookings. “ur booking levels have increased remarkably” said Mr Duong. “The system has produced remarkable room revenue and GenaRes bookings now represent a significant percentage of our bookings from all sources.
