Parties and music festivals for the discerning crowd food that celebrates Asian roots: these are the things that the IndoChine has been developing for the past eight years with sales doubling annually. It has also expanded horizontally with new outlets in Malaysia India and Dubai. But now it is setting its sights on the resort island of Phuket in Thailand. IndoChine is planning to develop two hotels and resorts there. Michael Ma CE IndoChine Group said: “ne of the properties is just pure management. The other one yes we will have equity investment but it hasn’t been finalised as yet. ” For now IndoChine would only say the two resorts will be located at Makua and Patong Beach on the Thai resort island.

The JW Marriott Hotel Beijing is owned by Hua Mao Surapan Hotel Development Company a joint venture formed by Beijing Guohua Real Estate Co. and Thailand’s Surapan Development Co. The joint venture invested around 2 billion yuan ($266 million) in building two luxury hotels the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing and 305-room Ritz-Carlton Beijing in China Central Place an emerging commercial area in Beijing’s eastern sector. Both hotels are operated by Marriott International.

Carlson Hotels has confirmed plans to develop another hotel in Bangkok Thailand. The Park Plaza Bangkok Asoke developed in partnership with Park Royal Co. is scheduled to open late 2009. Conveniently located along a trendy and bustling stretch on Soi 18 Sukhumvit road the 120-room hotel is just 30 minutes from the New Bangkok International Airport.
