I have absolutely no idea whatsoever but that seems to be the case. And especially in light of the fact that he doesn’t have a job as far as we know and he’s not supposed to be gaining any money because the Goldman family gets a piece of that because of winning the civil suit against him… VASSILEVA: Witnesses say survivors dashed from the plane as it began to burn from the inside. Hospital officials say many suffered severe burns. It’s the worst air disaster in Thailand in nearly a decade. Early indications show the plane might have been hit by a microburst a sudden gust of wind knocking the plane down sharply. Aviation Expert Jim Ekey(ph) says the airport doesn’t have the latest detection gear making approaches in bad weather risky. JIM EKEY(ph) AVIATIN EXPERT: There’s almost zero margin of error once one of those downdrafts hits you and you can’t see in front of you more than 50 feet you’re in serious trouble. VASSILEVA: The plane is an American made MD-82 a two-engine workhouse with a good safety record.

That unless they get their act together refurbish the hotel and do it up the government would acquire both and do it. With that threat they then put aside their differences and got the place redone. And it is not easy to find a hotel as old as Raffles in Asia. Thailand has one the 130-year-old Mandarin riental in Bangkok. But for Raffles its 120 years of legacy has seen it play host to many important people including the Indonesian President and Hollywood superstar Elizabeth Taylor. In fact it's almost the opposite. McMillan played the system and won. He was an riental Hotel regular; others who write of Thai jail horrors seem to be more Nana Plaza types. At the peak of his career in the '80s McMillan was a multimillionaire with homes and offices in London Melbourne Hong Kong and Brussels as well as Bangkok. But as he came to the attention of British American and Australian authorities he never took a direct route anywhere.
