n Thursday afternoon the protesters staged a mini rally at the National Counter Corruption Commission (NCCC) which is located near their main-rally point in front of the Government House. They targeted the illegitimacy of appointing nine NCCC members as the nine took office in the aftermath of the coup in September 2006. Separately earlier Thursday morning at resort town Pattaya in Thailand’s eastern province of Chonburi around 200 UDD supporters staged a mini rally in front of a hotel where the defense ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was having a meeting the website by Thai-language newspaper Matichon reported. Speaking in front of the hotel in Pattaya the protesters said they did not want the Abhisit Vejjajiva-led government to continuewhile they demanded the government to withdraw soldiers from the Government House as the military should have not involved with politics. They said there was no need to deploy soldiers at the Government House since the protesters have not planned to intrude into the Government House. Also they have demanded Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya and Defense Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan to resign. After announcing their political demands they dispersed peacefully.
