Hewitt reveals top 10 Thai employers

The 2009 study in Thailand which collected employee opinions from 17200 respondents from ctober to December last year revealed that the “Best Employers” generated higher growth in revenue and profitability than other companies over the past two years. Hewitt’s fourth Thailand study featured over 70 organisations which were drawn from 13 industries and had more than 90000 employees. Ian Till country manager at Hewitt Thailand said the best employers focused not just on capturing market share but also on creating more efficient businesses. CEs from top-10 companies agreed that managing people issues effectively in a downturn is critical in ensuring companies stay afloat and competitive.

Mercure Hotel Pontianak Indonesia: This 172-room hotel opening in the third quarter of 2009 enjoys a prime location on the main artery and next to the largest shopping mall in Pontianak. Mercure Fenix Samui Thailand: Formerly known as Samui Park it is located on lively Lamai Beach. The hotel has 52 rooms and 8 villas and is expected to join the network in the third quarter of this year after renovations and a rebranding program. Mercure Hotel Hanoi La Gare Vietnam: Scheduled to open in the third quarter of this year the hotel will feature 102 rooms and is situated in the heart of Hanoi?s main corporate area and opposite the main train station. The classic façade will be conserved while the full set of modern facilities will be added to the hotel.
