President and chief executive officer Hamish Dodds said the group was looking into gaming opportunities in Singapore Vietnam Thailand and Japan. “In Singapore we are working with the Genting group to explore gaming opportunities. For the other countries we are working with the respective local partners” he told a press briefing on the opening of Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi on Sept 19. “We will also explore opening hotels in Shanghai Beijing Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur” Dodds said. Besides Penang four new Hard Rock Hotels will be established in 2011 in Atlanta and Palm Springs in the United States Dubai and Panama.
