For the true shopping aficionado though there is the Chiang Mai street bazaar right next to the Centara Duangtawan Hotel. Here we found handicrafts made from silk silver and wood. These timeless and heavy souvenirs accounted for several kilos of our final tonnage. ur first spa and cooking experience was at Rarinjinda Spa and Resort where we actually made curry paste from scratch. Sexy chef Steph Zubiri was in cooking heaven while I was happy to pound the chili once for the photo op.

Thailand offers deals and discounts in face of tourism slump
USA Today
He expects the tourism industry will lose about 200 billion baht ($5. 6 billion) down by more than a third from about 540 billion baht last year. To offset the drop-off in visitors from abroad Thailand is promoting domestic tourism — and hotels are offering rock-bottom discounts to Thai residents. The government is extending a holiday next week to get Thais on the road. It has also cut airport landing fees and offered low-interest loans to small businesses catering to tourists. First pick out the most comfortable thing you have to travel in. Don’t worry no one dresses up to travel anymore just be comfortable! Most airlines are charging for luggage so let’s keep it minimal. Check the things you want to do when you get there if you are a hiker pack for that if you like temples be sure to have long pants or a skirt (in Thailand you can’t wear shorts in any temples). Almost all hotels offer laundry service however it can be very expensive. You can always rinse out some light things yourself in your room. Don’t count on there being a laundromat down the road as a lot of places just don’t have them. Men and woman can wear the same pants or shorts more than once.
Russian mafia godfather Vyacheslav Ivankov shot in Moscow
Times nline
He continued to run his criminal empire from prison and on his release in 1991 he was flown to Moscow in a private chartered jet for a lavish celebration party at the prestigious Metropole Hotel a stone’s throw from the Kremlin. Mr Ivankov left Russia in 1992 for the United States claiming to be interested in working on film projects. Instead he began a reign of terror over the Russian community in the Brighton Beach area of New York and attended a summit in Miami with fellow Russian mobsters to divide up the US into gang “turfs”. He was arrested by the FBI in 1995 and served nine years in the high-security Allenwood prison in Pennsylvania for entering into a sham marriage to gain citizenship and extorting $3. 5 million from two Russian immigrants.
